Three categories of fees shall be applied to students in accordance with the Minnesota State Board Policy 5.11.
- Required fees in statute or policy mandated to be charged by all colleges and universities.
- Campus discretionary fees established by the board and adopted by the college.
- Personal property, service charges or course activities having value outside of the classroom.

* If a student fails to return textbooks and materials to the campus bookstore by the eleventh day after the end of the semester, a fee equal to 75% of the original purchase price shall be assessed.
